Vespiquen seems to have a lot going for it initially, by far the most powerful bug move in the game, self healing, and most impressively the ability to boost its bulk while increasing its special. However, it learns no special moves, meaning it can't actually sweep this way, and its offensive movepool is laughably shallow. It has a small niche as the strongest bug attacker in the game, and can one shot Alakazam or two shot Slowbro if it manages to get a crit. Unfortunately, even with Attack Order's boosted crit rate, it's only about 60% thanks to Vespiquen's awful speed. Unfortunately for it, anything that can switch in on its Attack Order and can deal super effective damage can force it out fairly easily.
It ends up falling into UU, though it can see some rare play in OU.
