They love fighting, training and growing stronger and they love, aiding, assisting and/or serving their trainer more often than not, but are completely capable of and have been known to fucking BTFO a human who is beneath their respect or who infringes on their autonomy too much.
I just kind of dislike the narrative of them being completely subservient when it feels like they are more like mostly docile autistic fae who you just need to earn the respect of to cooperate with more often than not. I'm not really combating your point more than that, i'm just really high and your post caught my attention.
