>>34486614A trainer filled with passion for battling and desires to become the best that ever was! Though, it's been over twelve years since he started his journey and he hasn't gotten much better.
On his tenth birthday, Eric's family gifted him a red trainer jacket and a few pokeballs for him and his mudkip. The pair of them left the house later that day and never returned. He's been on the road ever since, challenging trainers, gyms, and wild pokemons, only to lose to even the lowest of mons and newest trainers. Why? His mudkip, whom he named MUDKIP at the age of five when he got him. The mon is piss poor at battling, being the runt of a litter that Eric's parents simply got from a shelter in hopes that he'd be a cute pet of sorts. Being at level eight, he doesn't know any moves past Growl, Tackle, and Water Gun, but even then the latter has the pressure of a garden hose. Berries have the opposite effect on him, rare candies make him throw up, and he doesn't know how to activate gems. Couple the pokemon's horrid state with Eric's obliviousness, unwillingness to learn due to pride, generally poor luck, and lack of friends due to attitude, they aren't doing too well. They're homeless, broke, worn out, and yet, very just as passionate and excited for the future as ever.
So maybe it's not sad in the somber sense. But it's certainly pathetic.
He's also the older brother of >>34484335, which is part of the reason she's not huge on battling.
