The pokedex was amazing with a shitload of great designs.
New SoL like repels asking you to refill.
Rotation battles were actually innovative and great fun and broke the fomula from doubles (while triples were just doubles +1, proving that Black is superior to White)
While Black/White did have linearity that I fairly criticize, Black2/White2 did a pretty great job fixing that issue and gave the games a fantastic post-game as a send-off for the last good generation.
