Unlike Venonat and Butterfree, Venonat and Venomoth are totally stylistically similar. Notice how the 2 hands and 2 feet are drawn in the same way as the 6 insectoid limbs, how the 2 antennae have the same shape of the horned crest, how the black coloration outlined by greys resembles the use of light and dark shades of grey outlined by solid black.
Also worth pointing out how the mouths are equally as well defined despite the mandibles being removed. The same could be said for how the bulging googly eyes still very much capture the essence of the signature compound eyes despite these being completely absent.
