>>48711294And as advertised, doing this game again, I really do love for it for nuzlockes.
Playing as the girl so I fight Lucas who I think is a bit easier than Dawn, and, tentatively am picking Piplup, to not give either rival an extra steel type ace and so Lucas gets to have Infernape. This is gonna be a hard run, so I'm not pulling any punches.
Very nicely, early game has a large assortment of Psychic types, even if Smoochum and Ralts are the only actual psychic Pokemon on my team so far.
>Jubilife BarryEssentially the reason why I'm not doing the 'you can ONLY use a Pokemon if it has the psychic type, it can't just evolve into a psychic type' rule. His Munchlax is just too strong and too bulky, and the only actual psychic mon I can get that has a realistic shot at beating it is if I'm lucky enough to get Chingling from the Daycare egg lady, then evolve it to Chimecho. So, to not reset a bunch of times, I have one mon that can stand up to it: Staryu, who with Harden and Recover actually does a good job at walling and beating it.
>>48711910Yeah, honestly I think Raticate is an A-tier encounter just on Guts alone in most games it's in, it's also the fastest Guts Pokemon after Swellow too and gets that STAB Facade.
Grats on your second victory!
>>48712833Thanks! And grats on at least completing the league in R1.
>>48713487Good luck! Though I will say this is a rough nuz to do, especially for a first timer. Purrloin's all you get until Burgh I believe? And Lenora and Burgh are nightmares normally, let alone with a frail mon weak to Bug.
>>48713668>>48719373Don't forget to grab Lickitung, fucker actually put in a huge amount of work in my own run. Nice job making it past the rival too, seemed like a pretty insane fight, though at least Kabutops should put that Charizard in its place from now on.
>>48713883Yeah, I hoped so too. Iris usually always DD first turn with Haxorus, don't know why she didn't do so here.
