It's easy to imagine these living in dark caves and tunnels and walking in line like this. Their habitat explains why they have no eyes or other facial features.
Geodude is just human parts made of rock, there's no context for its existence, it's not clear how and why it floats or why it's part ground type, especially when the rock/ground combo is used Pokemon that actually represent it.
Roggenrola is a smart and refined design, Geodude is just a primitive sketch.
