>>56660117At least the ashinme confirmed that the fifth movie is not only one of the only canon films in the franchise - but Latias even got a cameo at the very end of the series, not to mention the entire Latios and Latias side story. It's obvious the fifth movie resonated with a lot of people and the animators took the time to let us all know Latias and Ash wasn't forgotten about.
It just makes perfect sense for Ash to be with her - she is a pokemon that can live amongst humans disguised as one - and he is on the road to becoming a human with total understanding of pokemon. Can't get much closer with Pokemon than marrying one - and Ash himself was supposed to be a harbinger of a new era, like he's restoring the unity between humanity and pokemon. I'm all for it.
