When Greninja first leaked i thought the Tonguescarf was the most clever design quirk i'd seen on a pokemon, but i also remember thinking that part of the design wasn't enough to make me love Greninja as a whole, I'm guessing because of the insanely low quality of the original leak .
That being said, once those amie screens and GIFs started leaking i immediately changed my mind. I'm pretty sure it was those original Amie leaks that were responsible in Greninja's surge of popularity in the first place. He then slowly became my overall favorite starter.
