I don't think pokemon like Celesteela look bad, and I'm not trying to say that older pokemon are somehow superior or anything, I'm just saying that there's a clear difference in style, mainly in the complexity of the design.
I have a hard time picking favorites, but I really like the design of chimecho. It's simple, but also aesthetically interesting to look at.
