Miscellaneous notes...
Crobat was such a trooper throughout the whole game. After my starter/Wingull died I grinded Zubat a lot hoping something good would come out of it - he quickly became my overleveled go-to guy. Evolved after avenging Azumarill's stupid death too. Become kind of underwhelming afterward but I'm so glad he didn't die. Something as common as Zubat really is this good.
Kecleon is wildly underrated. I think of it as Hoenn's Snorlax even though it's probably not nearly as good. Substitute/Screech are great utility.
Shedinja is delicious cheese. I didn't really use it for most of the game after dealing with Wattson because I was paranoid of random coverage moves that could fuck it up. I love gimmicks.
Mostly sad that Solrock couldn't take on Salamence like I planned. It pretty much did nothing against the E4 other than weaken Salamence a bit. It did so well mid-to-late game. I've also never used it before. Hmm, maybe I should've spammed Cosmic Power against Shelgon and hoped for no crits. Eh, it wouldnt've done much against Wallace regardless.
I think I'll do Platinum next.
>>32947052All it really needs is Rock Slide/Tomb.
It's easy to think of Rampardos as a glass cannon but 97/60/50 really isn't the frailest thing ever. You don't really need to worry about speed, why not go bulk? Rock-types are also amazing in nuzlockes, period.
>>32947103I agree with this. GF was careful to have stuff like Flamethrower/Thunderbolt/Ice Beam buyable so you could teach them to different stuff. Being forced to pick and choose (and risk losing it) makes nuzlockes more fun. Side-note: I miss being forced to carry around a few antidotes.
