It had its own battle background that only ever gets used once, the town had plenty to do and mess around with despite ultimately not having much more than a couple of items and shops...
Aquacorde is the kind of town nu-Pokemon sorely lacks. I'd go as far as to say it's the Village Bridge or Lacunosa of Kalos.
