Now see, they said they were replacing it with an anime-styled tournament, but I don't actually believe they'll do a good job with it. Remember what happened when they said they're cutting the pokedex? They said they were "trying to make the pokemon more expressive" and make "higher quality animations" (keep in mind: they said SPECIFICALLY pokemon animations, not trainer or cutscene animations), but that clearly is a lie since the only new animations are the ones for the new pokemon and not a single new animation has been found for an older pokemon. I say this because what's to stop them from just removing the Elite four from the game and not add anything or just doing the bare minimum? They could just make you fight three characters in a row, add some bracket graphic, and call it a "tournament", making it the elite four but with one less character to make and without having to use custom models (they could just reuse already existing trainers and say "these people made it!"). They could get away with it too because apologistfags would defend it no matter what, even if it does turn out to be elite four minus one.
I really want to find something that makes me believe that this game isn't just complete shit. I really want to find a reason to buy this game, but I just can't right now and heracross not being confirmed isn't helping matters. So far, it's a no buy for me.
