>>56378117That's not a bad idea, if I ever do wanna try my hand at making something. So many buffs I want to give, so much QoL I want to add, so many Pokemon I wanna make available.
- I wouldn't want any fully evolved Pokemon to have below 500 BST so everything truly feels strong, but then you need to change shit like early-game bug evo levels for instance, making changes to each line.
- Combing through 1000+ movesets to decide changes is annoying, but I guess there's plenty of romhacks with ideas to borrow from already.
- Probably at least 2 difficulty options, one for the casuals and another for the Radical Redditors like me, or at least Drayano/Buffel Saft tiers of hard.
- Coming up with original characters and stories is daunting, and I'm not an artist. There's always talented artists for commission though, Unbound and Gaia had a huge glow-up in character concept art and sprites over the versions. Character and plot writing might be the single biggest stresser if making something original.
- Do I follow the standard 8 gyms and evil team formula?
- How do I want my region to look in terms of mapping, the function, the cohesiveness of it all.
It's so exhausting just to think about it all lol. I see what you mean about making something smaller.
