A lot of people claim doubles lacks diversity, and it's easy to see why. Most people use the same range of Pokemon.

What's great about doubles though is that you can actually get creative and do well. I managed a 30 win 4 loss record on a simulator with Torterra and Mega Blastoise. I also think that it adds depth, due to the addition of the importance to do both attacking and defending.

I love Megastoise. I just find the simplistic changes so nice, and I feel like it's very underrated. I use it a lot in VGC, and it's so helpful to counter threats like Aegislash, Talonflame, Tyranitar, Garchomp, Salamence, etc.

Also, it's defensive as hell.
