and maybe it’s cause i got back into pokemon when it was prime sinnoh nostalgia season a few years ago, but it kinda feels like people are being way more critical of it recently? like i constantly see gen4 called “mid” and “overrated” in youtube comments and shit lol. i wonder how the community will view it in, say, ~5 years from now. doesn’t help the remakes were complete ass and gamefreak refuses to give pokemon from gen 4 anything other than those awful origin forms for the creation trio.
