Swords Dance can be worth carrying if you don't have a better option (he doesn't have too many), because if you do find an opportunity to fire one up he becomes a LOT scarier. It just shouldn't be the primary goal when using T-flame.
Essentially:
Flare Blitz
Flying STAB (BB is preferable but if we get F Gem Acrobatics will have merit)
Then pick two of the following:
SD, Roost, U-Turn, Tailwind, Steel Wing, Bulk Up
Tailor to your team's needs and what you want to achieve, then slap a Life Orb on him (or a Band or I guess a Sharp Beak or some shit).
Talonflame is NOT an unholy destroyer of worlds. He is NOT a gutter-trash shitmon like so many of his birdy brethren. He fits a niche that needs filling and is great if you play him smart. Like, ya know, most decent Pokemon.
