I just watched a clip of Mega Shiny Metagross fighting a Mega Charizard X from the anime. It's even worse than before. An explosion every two fucking seconds, overuse of the same effect, voice acting that hasn't changed in 10 years; although the animation is nice, I can't say even jokingly that we've progressed far from the first season.
