There were a good number of cons where I used to live, and I'm absolutely surrounded by cons now, but in high school none of my friends were into that kind of stuff and the past couple years I just don't have the time or money to afford a pass. I'm going to try to go to one this year, though, if things work out.
I hope you can get to one someday, the one I went to was a lot of fun. But man, even when you get there it's really hard to keep from spending even more money, which is another reason I'm a bit hesitant.
