>>58371224I procrastinated way too much on posting about my Super replay. I actually finished the main story a while ago, but never got around to writing a post about it, and now I can't find the notes I took about the ending.
Well, based on what I remember about it:
It's cool that you can do 2 dungeons with your team's evolved forms.
The final dungeon and boss fight both have awesome music (specifically the Roots and the second phase of the fight).
It's crazy how Dark Matter is able to petrify even Arceus, and the only thing that can stop the petrification is the Harmony Scarves (which makes me wonder why nobody thought to make more scarves and hand them out to vital Pokemon, like Legendaries, to ensure they'd survive if Dark Matter ever returned).
Some of Dark Matter's dialogue is oddly whiny, which is kinda lame.
The way the boss switches types and makes you avoid certain tiles is an interesting mechanic, but overall, the fight was easy.
Pretty goofy to have triumphant music playing over the credits while the hero is sobbing in the background.
And I still don't understand why the partner had to disappear at the end.
Also worth noting this was my first PMD game all those years ago, so the twist where the hero stays and the partner leaves had no effect on me, since I didn't know the opposite was always true in previous PMD games. Even so, I didn't expect the partner to leave, so I remember feeling sad about it in my first playthrough. It was sad to see her go this time too, but I know I'll be seeing her again...On that note, I'll work on the postgame soon and post more updates along the way.
