>>49016591That's my point. People have incosistent standards when it comes to Johto because they are looking for flaws that don't exist. HGSS Kanto still objectively has the biggest and most content-packed postgame, and GSC, a 20 year old GameBoy game, still beats out most other Pokémon games in that regard.
You always hear people praising B2W2 for its postgame even though it's literally just exploring a a portion of the same unchanged map you explored 2 years prior with not much additional content to it. Meanwhile GSC/HGSS has an entire region to explore with brand new tilesets and map changes that really highlight how the place has changed in the two years. Sure, B2W2 has some dialog explaining the changes, but all of that is surface level. In GSC/HGSS you get that, plus a load more lore and visual changes that you have to find on your own and infer the meaning of by yourself.
