Cutting pokemon also means we wont have match ups that can exist in this upcoming current game at all. Garchomp will never fight an Intellion.
Cutting pokemon alienates entire fanbases of people who's favorites are not fucking Charizard/Pikachu/Lucario
There's no benefit to cutting Pokemon and it would be horrendous of them to not port what they have now into future games.
Even worse, they had the audacity to cut some Gen 7 pokemon which means that they didn't even get more than one generation to exist.
