>>20337310>>20337226Still not the best type. The addition of Ice Shard, and the fact that only 4 dragons weren't quad-weak to it (3 of which were cover legendaries) kept them sort of in check. Not to mention Gyarados made them cry.
Garchomp is the single outlier there, too, but you wouldn't nerf ground types because of it, would you? Every other dragon had counters, and none of them benefited from perma-weather besides Garchomp. TTar + Garchomp was the meta because you were a) running 2 psuedo-legendaries that were far stronger than half of the actual legendaries b) were running a perma-sandstorm team that granted 'chomp extra evasion on type of his retarded high speed stat and the ubiquitous Yache berry, and c) you had supreme coverage, except over steel types, because anything that Garchomp couldn't kill, TTar could.
You cannot honestly tell me, straight to my face, that Dragon was OP because of one or two outliers. Do Mega-mom and Smeargle warrant normal type getting a nerf? Does Lati@s make psychic getting a nerf? Do Zapdos and Thunderus make electric deserving a nerf? No? Then why nerf dragon type because of a few outliers with higher (or equal) BST to all those 'mons listed?
Fairy didn't need to happen. It's a pointless, dumb as shit type that was crap from inception to incarnation. It didn't need to exist. What needed to happen is that already existing types needed buffs. Wouldn't the dragon-problem cease to exist if ice were made immune to dragon?
