Due to reasons concerning my own country's government I began stocking up all the way back in September just in case, and made sure that most of the items I got wouldn't expire until 2021/22. Didn't expect this whole Corona thing to happen and that I'd actually have to use my prepper stuff, but I'm glad I bought everything I needed before this blew up and others started doing the same. Luckily I'm more than secured and don't need to go out for anything at all. That's why since I prepared myself so well I don't see an issue in spending my money in stuff I like to pass the time. Although I wouldn't feel confident buying physical goods like OP wants.
