I want to talk about British impact on Indian cuisine. A very key and popular Indian dish, the Chicken 65, was designed by the British to keep the moral of troops drafted from the Raj up. The distinct red color and flavor was drafted up entirely by British cooks. When Raj soldiers returned home from they craved the old mess hall favorite. Thus the chicken gets it's name from it's ordnance number '65' and is a must have at parties all across the subcontinent. Cheers. Pardon me while I go wipe my ass.
