Here's my contribution. Regardless of whether a Machamp's trunks are clothing or just a part of its body, this design makes more sense either way. A whole species of Pokémon wouldn't wear clothing in the wild, and there's no realistic reason it would have evolved to have skin that looks like trunks. This is what a real Machamp would look like.
