Regular Garchomp is a hideous mess of unbalanced shapes and a posterchild for "why gen-4 designs suck ass". Mega Garchomp used these shortcomings to come off as one of the best looking Megas, as there was a decent room for a graphic overhaul. Pokemon with good, finished designs are quite problematic to be elaborated upon.
I have no problems with Gallade's arse myself, but no-disc Mega Gallade sounds pretty neat.
