Back when I started I got a copy of pokemon yellow, I was having fun up until the first gym. I want to meet the fucker who put a rock gym right after the area with bugs, flying, and normal types, and the game started you with that electric rat.
Anyway, I caught a male nidoran, it was the first one I had seen and was only level 2, man was it difficult to get him to level 5, but once I did he started to be able to handle threats all on his own. I was so proud when he smashed that onix's face in that I made him my #1, anything I got in that game I pretty much gave it to him first, he evolved twice in mount moon, and was the first pokemon I ever got to lvl 100.
I often consider trying to find a Shiny just to put the King back on my team.
