Ok, I wasn't planning on making a thread about this but it's really starting to wig me out.
So I've been shiny chaining for a while now using a party of timid (-attack, +speed) synchronize pokemon, in hopes that the shiny I get will be timid. Makes sense, right?
I've caught 3 shinies doing this. And it'd be no big deal if they just weren't timid, but it's worse than that
EVERY single one has been brave. The exact opposite of timid. If I did my math right, I had a 2% chance of catching a brave one just once, but it's happened THREE times.
Does anyone at all have an explanation for this? Do I just have the shittiest luck in the world? My synchronizers were paralyzed while chaining (the wild pokemon were electric type so the status didn't pass along to them), did that somehow reverse the process and give me the opposite of what I wanted?
I just want an explanation here.
