I was never a child, however when this shit sprouted up, and I can honestly tell you, all the complaints levelled at the games in recent years (aside from the railroading kiddies through to ensure they don't get lost) also applied to the past efforts and just as hard (if not worse) than today. There was no excuse for RSE to look as it did, especially with the jump to GBA giving them an extra 14mb to work with, regarding storage space. Yet it looked as if they ran it through Iwata-san's compressor again and held back on improving graphics (despite the GBA bing a SNES in miniature, basically).
