And every mon should have one of three to four different abilities (maybe more, I haven't thought this shit through) + a hidden ability unique to them and not shared by different evolutionary stages
This paired with a more diverse pool moves (most of which would have an effect) and would not only make every pokemon viable, it would also turn pokemon's competitive scene into something that can be legitimately fun instead of the joke it is today.
Also fuck singles, every battle is either 2v2 or 3v3.
