Add onto that, the fixing of the type chart, Special stat split, held items, breeding, day/night cycles, new moves, and an OST arguably better than R/B/Y's, and it becomes difficult to label these games as DLC. Does Johto have some things in it missing that most all generations have? Yes, but that is more these games being planned as sequels than anything else.
