Because if you really think about it, We got Charizard a hot head pokemon that has the fire type, and Greninja a calm collective silent pokemon who has the dark type, you can scream all you want but Incineroar is just too unpopular with the exception of japan. Decidueye can't be a pit or link clone, just because it has a archery theme going for it, it's An Owl/bird, grass/ghost type. Something smash doesn't have. A character that can control plants and a ghost. Spirit Shackles will be different from pits or links arrow attacks because it can stun you. Decidueye, like in Pokken, can pick you up with it's talents or just grab you with it's long arms. Decidueye is shown to be a little enthusiastic, it's cool but it has a comedic charm to it that'll separate it from Greninja personality, like when it gets caught buy a surprise it starts to panic. That'll probably be a good core. A hot head prideful fire starter, a calm chill water starter, a cool but comedic grass starter.
