oh boy I found out a way to completely fuck up the game. this could be the new RNG.
>put two pokemons in the daycare
>save the game once you get an egg
>count the # of steps it needs to hatch
>reset once you find out
>set a repel so it expires exactly at the same step the egg hatches
>the repel expire text will come up first if you do this correctly
>refresh the area WITHOUT MOVING OR CHANGING DIRECTION (you can do this easily by flying, if you move the egg will hatch fucking this all up)
>trade the egg to a friend
>MAKE SURE FRIEND DOESN'T MOVE EITHER
>while friend is standing still, stand in front of a PC facing it
>Have friend trade you back the egg
>put the egg in the PC
Okay, so from this point onward, every single game action manipulates the egg in RIDICULOUS ways. I'm not just talking IVs, but SPECIES and GENDER. By game action I mean walking, using potions and repels, talking etc. When you're ready to hatch the egg to see what you get, take it out of the PC and just move.
