>>36708067the problem with this is that the second you cant beat something you will just switch to the broken piece of shit. completely ruining the ah-ha! moment of overcoming the challenge that makes video games so great. that made us all addicted to this franchise as kids. now that kids have a literal gameshark pokemon with them at all times they wont need to change out certain moves or go train and comeback to see the effects of the training pay off. the game becomes boring. and thats when games stop being fun.
Imagine a pokemon game where you start out with a level 100 mewtwo and all you have to do is press A to win. that sure does sound like it would have the same cultural resonance and power that red and blue did, im sure the sequel will sell millions and the franchise wont be dead when people realize just how boring a game is if there isn't at least somewhat of a dificulty curve.
