>>21668972It's true, though. They have the crispest animations due to use of sprites and excessive use of screen flashing makes the attacks seem more powerful. They were trying to show off, and they did a fantastic job, but either whiny competitivefags wanted faster animations or they wanted to show off the latest in shitty pixely technology and the animations became blocky, brief and unmemorable, a step back.
