It breaks my heart that my favourite media franchise that essentially shaped my childhood no longer cares about its own identity and is fine with betraying expectations and wallowing in mediocrity instead of just calling it quits or making a more sensible or all-encompassing change in direction. But I'll get over it and just play different vidya and shit, it's not like Pokemon is my life. Smash Bros is pretty good at filling that void, social interaction and all.
