Ok /vp/. I'm making this tread to let you all know what the new type should be (90%). First of all, yes, it should be named "Fairy", but it's not the fairy that most of you are thinking (sorry for my english but it's not my language): in your culture you have probably been associating the word fairy to homosexuality and/or pink happy pixies with wands. Actually it's not always true. Before going ahead I would point out that "Light" and "Magic" represents different concepts than "Fairy". There are different kinds of type: there are types based on controlling elements, like Fire, Water, Grass, Electric... Types based on physical characteristics, like Dragon, Bug, Steel... Types based on abilities, like Psychic, Fighting, Flying... Now the Light type is basically the ability to controll the light, in American (and many other) cultures a thing associated with the good, a type which is currently restrained in other types like Grass (SolarBeam), Fire (SunnyDay), Electric and few others. Magic type seems to be a clone of the already existing "Psychic" type, with a fairytale meaning. As I was trying to explain before, the "Fairy" type is not exactly the fairy that you expect to be. "Fairy" type contains creatures like Ogres, Pixies, Trolls, Nymphs, Jinn, Spirits of the forest and many others. It's something like the Dragon type counterpart, falling into the category of "Types based on physical characteristics". See this pic related I made to understand well what I mean, these would be "Fairy" type. Also, don't be afraid with this new type, it's a positive thing. It's finally a easy way to counter the excessive power of Dragons and also balances well the already existing types. In example, I like to see Snorlax (cause it reminds me an Ogre, but I'm not saying that it will be a Fairy type) and Xerneas as perfect samples for the Fairy type, so I can detach you from the old sight of Fairies. Strong mythical dragon-slayer creatures of all kinds. Not only nymphs like Sylveon.
