>>35256496It’s as if someone thought there was a market in between Digimon and Pokemon and decided to set up shop ine the middle of the block expecting the sheer foot traffic to keep it afloat. I’d rather have a proper Gross-Out monster series that way it slightly overlaps Digimon but intentionally steers cleaner art styles like SMT and Pokemon. It will hit the low-brow art market and make bank. If people use the 80’s and 90’s aesthetics fan base Instagram and Tumblr alone could all but guarantee consistent profits and a bi-yearly game release. Something like >pic related with
a grotesque mascot &/or random shitmon
Something like slime creatures and decaying big-game taxidermy (rotting elephant or lion) like a gore-horror version of the Toriyama style art
Pay a few big names on IG to advertise in a seemingly genuine way. Tell them to pick a favorite design, offer customized official art to stay true to product, and pay for their tattoo and people will be entranced by this new yet familiar monster mascot franchise with a gritty spin to the designs. Grosser than Yu-Gi-Oh but not uglier. You know what I mean by that
Ah! Real Monsters meets YGO’s Relinquished. Somewhere in that overlap
