No reason for her to wait or go on some stupid adventure this stopped being a fun little side gig/game after her family got split, her best friend got captured, and her not!boyfriend got killed. She has no time to lose and in fact only loses more the longer she takes to get her people back.
She's faster than most others, can read minds, see the future, psychically track people really really far distances away, and teleport large distances. She did it when Astrid was hundreds of miles away and she can easily pull it off when she's less than that.
