>>36423192>>36423925>>36423937Yep. Episode 273 is a great place to stop. It completely wraps up the series nicely, while showing what happens to all of the main cast. Misty goes back to Cerulean City to resume being a Gym Leader. Brock goes back to Pewter City presumably for the same reason. Ash goes back to Pallet Town before embarking on a new journey. You see Gary, Tracey, Professor Oak, Delia, etc. and what they're all up to. Ash and co. return to the Virdian City Pokémon Center where Ash first met Team Rocket. The Nurse Joy there fixed Misty's bike, and then you have all of these great flashbacks of Kanto, the Orange Islands, and Johto. Ash sees Ho-oh again too like in the very first episode. It serves as a really good ending to the series.
You can watch the newer Hoenn episodes for curiousity's sake, but they're much lower quality and just keep rehashing the same formula at that point. Not to mention the dub takes a nosedive in quality halfway through Hoenn when 4Kids is replaced by TPCi. Not only are the voice actors much worse, but it breaks all immersion as familiarity and connection with the characters are now completely lost.
