>>23355743Fairy is clearly a specialized light type, as angels are associated with light and are commonly portrayed as humanoids with wings similar to fairies. Not all Fairy types have to based on fairies or creatures of fae. They can also be creatures or holy beings that tend to share elements of what the type represents. Its a similar case with Dragons and Dinosaurs. The only thing they have in common is that they resemble scaly reptiles but aren't related in any sense. Does that stop Gamefreak from making Dragon types based on dinosaurs? Of course not. So they'll get way with it by making Fairies based on angels as well. Its seems that Gamefreak allready started making angels associated with fairies. As Sweet Kiss(known as Angel's Kiss in Japan) was retyped to fairy, Gardevoir who is literally pokemon's representation of a guardian angel is fairy, or how one of Xerneas inspirations is Devises heroïques. A french emblem made by Claude Paradin which portrays a deer with angelic wings.
If you seriously believe the type doesn't represent angels, your delusional.
