He gave up on us, so it's only really gonna hurt me in the long-run if I keep holding on hope for some future that he and I might actually be happy together. I'm pretty sure my feelings were way stronger than his anyways, so I doubt it would've really worked anyway if things were that... uneven, where I'm prepared to fight tooth and nail for him, but he seems to just fold the instant stuff gets difficult. I'll try to stay positive and ignore him if he gets back in contact, but my heart is really forgiving. TOO forgiving, probably.
