The whole reason EVs and IVs were make the Pokemon feel different from each other of the same type but in competitive that is moot like 95% as it's almost always the best for the Pokemon to EVs in certain stats and to have max IVs where it can.
>>30965372I dunno why they hated Chespin and Fennekin so much, design wise I thought nothing was wrong either of their lines expect the 3d models could have been done a bit better. I dunno why Greninja got a god tier HA, like I said before nothing about warranted it having it other than to make it good. Nothing about it's design, concept, or typing gives any hints on why it should have it, it just does. The other two have HA that make sense for them, as well as being far less useful. Plus Greninja already had the best stat spread for competitive play before it's ability anyway. Plus the move tutor gave it even more moves to use that just made it stronger.
The only way Delphox and Chesnaught will see competitive play now is if they one day get good Mega forms or their stats are changed around quite a bit. But even then their move pools are still kind of meh.
