At least bloodborne (game of the year when it came out) lets you interact with actual players instead of their ghosts, and can render enemies that are more than 5 meters away, with actual turning and walking animations. Only thing bloodborne was criticised for (with actul reason and no excuses) was the online matchmaking using passwords. That is a very old and unconfortable way to find specific people to play with, don't you agree?
