>>52015465That's honestly just the state of being a Pokemon fan, so many crazy good opportunities for storytelling, abandoned before they ever had a chance to get fully explored. I got into FFXIV this year and it blew my mind how interconnected the whole world felt and just how often the game would take its time to go in depth about some old civilization or even just random side character.
Coming back to Pokemon it just makes me sad how much better these games could be, I feel like the devs don't actually care that much about their own world, they just do whatever they need to justify why something happens (i.e Faba had evil scientists to justify Silvally/Null and to give you people to fight at the story's climax) then just drop the whole concept. In FFXIV, we'd have a whole multipart sidequest about taking down evil Aether goons still trying to make another UB killer, before it culminates in some boss fight against the third frozen Silvally, or SOMETHING.
