Sinnoh blew through the first seven gyms too fast and had to spend almost two years on filler episodes. Plus Dawn and Piplup were annoying as fuck, and Dawn's contest episodes were gutter trash compared to May and Serena's contest episodes. You actually rooted for Jessie during the Sinnoh arc. Tsunami might've screwed up the initial plans for Best Wishes, but after a recovery period it got back to some decent arcs. Don't forget we got to see Ash battle Giovanni during Best Wishes.
