After some time, you disconnect from each other. As much as you want to just cuddle up with your partner and fall asleep, there are still some things left to do. You head to the bathroom and wash her and yourself off, drying her fur as she makes a sound similar to a purr. After the last few nightly chores, she hops unto the bed. You lay down next to her, and she comes close to you. Eevees can’t learn the move “sing,” so there is nothing supernatural about the little song she sings to you each night, but even still, somehow it helps you both get to sleep faster. Perhaps her copycat ability is adding something to it, but all you know is that her voice might as well be an angel’s. As you drift off, her song stops and she presses her face up against yours, and starts falling asleep herself. Her tail curls around your arm as she pulls you into something like an embrace. The last things you feel before you drift off into dreams is her body rising and falling as her breathing becomes relaxed, and the soft fur of her face and mane.
You don’t care what anyone says. This is love.
