>>58408117Honestly yeah, that cell shading looks like shit on a South Sudanese level dark skinned person, it would be more flattering if she looked all oiled up and shiny, but I don’t think most Japanese programmers are too good at rendering dark skin in 3D. Amaryllis also looks fucking weird and pink in the game vs her 2D art, I can also think of non Pokemon examples of a dark skin character looking totally off in 3D or in different lightings vs the 2D original. Splatoon is probably the only good Japanese example
