I haven't exactly seen anyone coming forward and saying "You're doing this wrong, let me show how it's done, Game Freak." and making a fan made game without Mega Evolutions and adds regular evolutions to the likes of Beedrill, Kangaskan, Ledian, Pinsir, Beartic, Purugly and every other underpowered, under appricated Pokemon and feels like a natural progression of evolution. Or go back to Generation 5 and never move foward as the games progress.
